The inaugural Chesapeake Academy girls basketball team made a strong first showing, winning over Generals’ Highway, 28-8 this past Saturday. They represented our school magnificently in the debut of the first girls athletic team in our school’s history.

The CA boys defeated the SCYA Storm 26-10 and the Ft. Meade Cougars 28-19 this past weekend to clinch the Anne Arundel County Parks & Recreation Championship for their division (10 and under - C league). CA finished with a 9-1 record in league play and currently holds a 10-3 overall record.

The CA Bay Retrievers will play St. John's tomorrow, Wed, Feb 2nd, @ 4:00-5:30 pm in the Flinchum Gymnasium. This game is a rematch of a Jan 12th game which CA won 55 to 48. CA has won 7 games in a row and is in first place in their county league. Go CA Bay Retrievers!

The CA boys played their hearts out but fell to Slade last night by a score of 19 to 20. All thirteen boys saw action and many parents, faculty, and staff turned out to support the team.

Chesapeake Academy, a leading independent elementary school serving Preschool age 3 – Grade 5, has recently started a 5th grade boys basketball team. This is the first athletic team in the school’s proud thirty year history.
